Provindenciales in the Turks and Caicos has has topped as the world's top island as recorded by Trip Advisor.

CNN news reported this at 1050 GMT (1750 HKT) on April 21, 2015  

"Island-hoppers take note: Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos is TripAdvisor's latest pick for the world's top island".

Providenciales rose from last year's No. 2 ranking among the travel review site's Travelers' Choice award winners to bump Ambergris Caye out of the top spot.
